The Aerochamber is used to correctly administer aerosolised medication from most pressurised Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI) especially in patients who are unable to coordinate or control the use of MDIs.
Benefits
Flow-Vu indicator: When the patient inhales, the flap moves, allowing the caregiver to see if the patient is inhaling properly.
Anti-static Chamber: Improves MDI delivery in AeroChamber by preventing medication from clinging to the chamber walls. Free of latex, lead, PVC, phthalates, and BPA.
ComfortSeal mask: Soft and pleasant face mask that provides vital face mask seal. Exhaled medication is directed away from the patient’s face and eyes with the ‘EZ Flow’ Extension Valve.
Built-in, low-resistance, one-way inhalation valve opens quickly and prevents exhalation back into the chamber.
Universal Adapter: Compatible with the majority of regularly prescribed MDIs.
Dishwasher Safe: The take-apart device is dishwasher safe at temperatures below 70 degrees Celsius
How To Use Aerochamber Child
1. Remove cap of the MDI (Metered Dose Inhaler). Shake the MDI immediately before each use then insert the MDI into the backpiece of the chamber.
2. Take a deep breath out slowly.
3. Place the mouthpiece between your teeth in your mouth and seal your lips around it.
4. Press the MDI at the beginning of a slow inhalation. Breathe in slowly and deeply through the mouth until a full breath has been taken.
5. Hold breath for 5-10 seconds, if possible. Otherwise, keep lips tight on the mouthpiece breathing normally 2-3 times through the chamber after the MDI is pressed.
Slow down inhalation if you hear the FlowSignal® Whistle sound. It means that you are inhaling too quickly.
6. Return to regular breathing.
7. If more than one puff is indicated, repeat steps 1–6.
Avoid boiling, sterilising or cleaning in a dishwater at temperatures above 70˚C. The product may be permanently damaged. Do not leave the chamber unattended around children.
